I am absolutely obsessed with these gift tags. First of all, how pretty is the paper?! I'll let you in on a little secret: all, I mean ALL, of the patterns you see here today are from a single paper pad so that you don't have to go searching in more than one place. And you can purchase that paper pad right now at Michaels. It's the Recollections 6" x 6" "Bright Spirits" Christmas collection!
When it comes to gifting, I like to wrap a lot of individual packages, so I need a lot of gift tags. With help from my We R Memory Keepers tag punch board and others, I was able to make a whole bunch in a snap!
TOOLS & MATERIALS:
Choose some of your favourite patterns and make the tags using the tag punch board. First, trim paper to smaller sizes. My tags vary; some started at 2" x 2 3/4" as the smallest up to 2 1/2" x 4".
Fish through the pad to find pages that spell out words or phrases that you can cut with the paper trimmer to overlap onto the gift tag. Use the rounder punch at the 4 mm to round all the corners.
Add foam dots to the back.
Stick it to the centre of the gift tag, and punch a hole at the top.
Use the hole reinforcer punch on card stock that compliments your tag, either from the pad or red and blue scraps that you may have. Then attach to the front of the tag around the hole with the crafter's tape.
