If you enjoy washi tape crafts like me, here is a fun summer art project using a bunch of seasonal cut-outs and washi!
For this project though you will also need a Silhouette CAMEO. If you don't have one but it was always on your wish list, check out the amazing deal by Amazon.com below. Without one, it may make cutting some of the shapes a little difficult, but you can also improvise and do this craft with any summer shape that suits your style!
TOOLS & MATERIALS:
Open each file accordingly: seahorse, popsicle, and mermaid tail. Cut on the Silhouette on white card stock paper. If you wish, round the corners with the punch. Then for each piece, take another sheet of card stock, one not white, and trim it in half to make it 5 1/2" x 8 1/2". Apply strips of washi tape side-by-side, making sure that every space is covered once the overlay goes on top.
Use the double-sided tape to apply the cut file.
Then attach it right to the centre and smooth it out to complete the art.
You can hang them with clothespins on twine for an informal idea.
Total project time: about 45 minutes for all three pieces.
