It's Day 17, and today we're making flower confetti cards!
The cards themselves are small, about 3 1/2" square. They are super cute though for birthdays or get well or other occasion. Because the pieces are small, you can use a lot of leftover scrap with this one. To learn how to make them, keep on reading.
TOOLS & MATERIALS:
Scrapbook paper (in a few different patterns)
Small circle punch
3" x 4" transparent archival bags (at Michaels)
White card stock
Blue or yellow card stock
2 3/8" flower punch (Recollections at Michaels)
Martha Stewart doily lace edger punch
*Take note: the Martha Stewart doily lace edger punch is now a discontinued product. If you have one, great! If not, you can still purchase these edger punches that will still look amazing with this project.*
DIRECTIONS (FOR ONE CARD):
Create the confetti with the circle punch and place them inside the archival bag. Don't make too much to fill it completely, or the paper inside won't move when you shake it!
Trim the white card stock to 3 1/2" x 7", and fold it in half to make a square card.
Since the archival bag is 4" long, cut about one inch off and tape it closed to the front of the card.
Trim the blue card stock to 3 1/2" x 3 1/2". Insert it into the flower punch and cut the shape horizontally centre.
The across the top, trim the edge in a lovely lace pattern.
Finish the card off by taping the piece to the front of the card over the archival bag with the lace pattern facing the fold.
Total project time: about 20 minutes for one card.
