What in the world would anyone need with confetti paper balloons? What in the world would they not!
The confetti balloons appearing right before your eyes were made with birthdays on the mind, since May is a big birthday month in my family. You can use them to decorate the tops of gift boxes, cards, or just make them because they are so darn cute!
There are two parts to this project: first making the confetti, then assembling the balloons. With the right tools and my freebie SVG balloon shape, you can achieve this too!
TOOLS & MATERIALS:
Make the confetti using the punch. Mix a variety of colours: pink, blue, yellow, green, purple, etc. Store it in the paper cup and set it aside for later.
Download my balloon cut-out for your Silhouette HERE and open it in the software. You have the option of resizing it. My balloons are about 3 1/2" tall (for anything larger, you'll need larger archival bags). Place the first sheet of glitter card stock on the cutting mat. Cut the balloon shapes in all the colours.
For one balloon, apply hot glue on low temperature around the edges and glue it to an archival bag.
Carefully cut around it with scissors. Add more glue around the second layer of the archival bag, but leave an opening for confetti.
Use the mini scoop to fill the balloon with confetti. Once you're finished, seal up the hole with more glue.
Glue twine to the balloons before applying them to gifts!
Now, wasn't that fun?
