FOR MOM: EASY CUPCAKE LINER NAME BADGE

April 15, 2018

I made a bunch of these badges to share with all the special mothers in my family on Mother's Day - including me! I can't wait to sport this badge on May 13th.  To make them, grab yourself some leftover baking cups! Their colourful patterns also give the badges a pretty edge.

TOOLS & MATERIALS:

  • Large cupcake liners (see shopping guide below)

  • Card stock - in colours that compliment the liners

  • 2 1/2" circle punch

  • Glue stick

  • Paper trimmer

  • Scissors

  • Tape

  • Adhesive letters (see shopping guide below)

DIRECTIONS (FOR ONE BADGE):

Gently flatten a cupcake liner.  Punch out a circle shape on card stock and glue it to the centre of the liner.

Trim two pieces of card stock at 1" x 4".

Cut a "v" on one of the short sides of the strips, then tape them to the back of the cupcake liner.  To finish, use fancy letters to spell out words or initials such as "MOM" or "no. 1 MUM".

Total project time: 5 - 7 minutes per badge.
