Birthday gift wrap just got more fun with glitter!
If you're under the impression that glitter is far too messy, you're absolutely right! So when doing today's project, give yourself time and have a vacuum cleaner handy - ha! The results are totally worth it though. Glitter just makes everything better, right?
I will also show you how to make glitter shapes, and in order to do that, gather the following items:
TOOLS & MATERIALS:
Note: I used a bunch of fine glitters from the Martha Stewart collection.
1. Determine the size of the punch, then add strips of double-sided tape to the card stock paper. Lay the tape in rows touching each other. The larger your shape is, the more rows you'll need to make.
2. Punch out your shapes.
3. Remove the tape off each shape, and set them down and sprinkle glitter over them.
4. Shake off all the excess glitter (and vacuum the mess!)
Now you've got yourself a bunch of star shapes. Tape them to the packages like I did my balloons.
I used the same technique to make a couple of gift tags, but added the glitter to one strip at a time before moving on to the next colour. Then I used this punch to create the tags.
If you have striped paper, adding glitter to it is easy! Use the double-sided tape just like you did to make the tags.
