Who's ready to shake it?! Shake, shake, shake these easy to craft glitter-filled shaker cards with my tutorial below.
They are the cutest addition to a Valentine gift or anniversary gift. And you can mix up the colours to fit your needs.
TOOLS & MATERIALS:
DIRECTIONS (FOR ONE CARD):
1. Download this free SVG file of the heart cutout. You can adjust it to any size you want, but for the purposes of this tutorial, mine is about 2 1/2" square. Cut it on glitter card stock. (To do that, place the paper correctly on the cutting mat, and insert it into the CAMEO. Adjust blade to 6). Set it aside. Since the transparent archival bags are a little larger than the size of the heart cutout, trim it down to a square size of under 2 1/2". You can see that there will be two open sides, but we can correct that later.
2. Trim the white card stock to 3" x 6", and score in the middle. Fold it in half. That will become the card.
3. Add double-sided tape to each of the four sides of the heart cutout, and attach the archival bag making sure that one of the open sides is at the top. Secure the other open end with double-sided tape.
4. Then fill the bag with glitter, but not all the way (leave it a little loose so that it can shake). Close the top with more double-sided tape. Then add another four pieces of double-sided tape around the cutout and attach it to the front of the card.
Total time: about 10 minutes per card.
