I am so excited about today's project because it's such a small thing, but the ornaments turned out so pretty that I can't stop looking at them!
A few weeks ago, I bought a box of clear plastic ornaments from Walmart, and I wasn't sure if I was going to do something with them or not this year. I considered paint and glitter, and while those options are fine, I wanted something different. Drum roll please! Introducing a no mess method to still add that pop of colour to your DIY ornaments - rhinestones!
Rhinestone projects are indeed fun, and I've shared a few here over the years here. The rhinestones I used in today's project are self adhesive. So in addition to not having to use any paints or glitter, there's no glue required either. This project is purely stick and go. I've collected my rhinestones from different sources (Amazon, Walmart, Michaels, and dollar stores). For a shopping guide, see the bottom of this post.
This fun project would also make a beautiful gift idea. Tie one to a gift package, or make a bunch and wrap them in a box.
