We Canadians celebrate Thanksgiving in less than a month (it's weird typing these words because our temperatures have been in the 30s this week!) There is so much to give thanks for, that I wanted to share those words in our household, and more importantly instill them with my daughter as she grows up. In doing so, I created a simple pumpkin pie garland. To make yours, read on for the tutorial and a free pie shape SVG file.
I began with creating the pie shapes in my Silhouette because it's honestly quicker and it ensures the pies are all equal size. To download the SVG file, click HERE. Or, use this PDF file as a template. The pie slices are about 3 1/4" x 4 1/2". I cut them on textured orange card stock.

TOOLS & MATERIALS:
Side note: I didn't have the right card stock paper, but to achieve that right pie crust colour, I found an old Kraft paper envelope and it worked!
DIRECTIONS (FOR ONE PIE SLICE):
1. Trim the paper to 1/2" x 5". (Alternately for multiples, you can trim the paper to 5" x 5" and then cut them down to 1/2" strips after completing step 2).
2. Score the paper every 1/4".
3. Make an accordion with it, and use the glue gun to secure it to the top of the pie slice, slightly curving it.
4. Once all are pie slices are complete, add the letters to spell out "GIVE THANKS".
