FALL LEAF PAPER TAGS OR GARLAND

September 9, 2017

The temperature has been dropping, and my hydrangea flowers are turning into a rosy shade of delicate petals.  I've also spent the past week wrapped in perfectly cozy sweaters.  So, I think that today warrants a Fall post.

Some time ago, I picked up this mini (5/8") oak leaf punch (you can find a similar product HERE). Of course, there's no better motif than a leaf for a Fall post! I decided to create some cute little tags with it.  To do so, first I used a 2 1/2" circle punch to make the tag shapes in different "Fallish" colours on card stock, plus black to juxtapose each tag.

Then I punched leaves around the colourful tags.

When I paired them with a black circle, you could see their silhouettes shine through.  Use a hole punch to create the little tag holes.

Feed twine through and the tags are complete!

Alternately, you can make a cute garland.  I used sticker letters to spell out "Fall".  But the options are endless.

I like traditional Fall colours, but I have to admit that I'm really loving this combo!

Thanks for taking a look.  I hope you're enjoying the cooler temps as much as I am!
