Give the gift of make-it-yourself stationery for a hostess gift this Christmas.
For this fun gift, I selected 5 different card stock patterns with winter scenes, holiday symbols, and polka dots. I chose them based on what I liked out of paper pads I already had. For a great online selection of paper pads, visit HERE, or go to your nearest craft store. Then I punched out 10 tags, two in each pattern, with the Recollections 2 11/16" tag punch: 5 of which I decorated with stickers myself, and 5 which I left blank.
I spelled out the phrases: HO HO HO, MERRY XMAS, JOY, LET IT SNOW, and PEACE with glitter stickers in both silver and white. For fun, I glued a rhinestone inside the "O's". I also attached string to each of the tags.
Next, gather what you need to create the gift bag. I purchased the actual snowman bag a few years ago from Target. They do seem to carry this kind (albeit with different patterns usually) every year. If you can't find something like it, then a simple lunch bag, decked out with your design, would work too.
Also, you will need to add:
White and silver glitter stickers
Glue stick (for the rhinestones)
The 10 tags you made earlier
Package it all up, and you're good to go. You can also use pretty clothespins if you wish to secure the bag shut.
All of the Recollections products, the rhinestones, and the string can be found at Michaels stores. The mini glue that I used is Martha Stewart. Buy it HERE.
What do you think of this fun hostess gift idea? Would you make it?
