ONE YEAR OF: PROJECTS FOR THE HOME

August 29, 2016

Friends, today is the last day of my five-part series celebrating my shop and blog's one year anniversary! Every Monday in August, I shared a post of some of my favourite projects. There was one on paper crafts, DIY projects, washi tape crafts, kids crafts, and today's final post looks at some projects for the home.  Thanks for joining along!

FAVOURITE HOME DECOR PROJECTS FROM WHITE HOUSE CRAFTS

One of the earliest projects I shared are my chalk painted frames.  What used to be gold, I painted them white, then created the word art before hanging them on the wall in our bedroom:

For Fall, I created these painted burlap coasters in a leaf motif.  Burlap is one of my favourite materials to decorate with, and I think it's especially nice around Fall.

Then Christmas came, and I like to change up my art prints for the holiday season.  I made this Christmas tree-shaped print in gold and shared it as a free printable:

Fast forward to late Spring, where I covered an old candle into a sea-inspired candle with paper and rope:

And finally, I spray painted the lower half of these frames in gold to give this small gallery wall in my living room a little more pizzazz:

A big thank you for those of you who have been following along all this time to celebrate my one year, or if you've been with me since the beginning of this website. You are awesome!

I have had such an awesome year as well.  It's been real fun, and I do hope to continue bringing you inspiration in DIY and craft for many more to come!

Before I sign off, I just wanted to give a quick shop update.  As you can see, I haven't added any new items for a couple of months now.  This summer has been a bit of a break, being home with my daughter, and crafting less than usual.  I will get back to it in September, with some new designs for Halloween and Christmas.  Stay tuned!
