PAPER LADYBUGS TUTORIAL

January 2, 2016

Kids love glue and kids love insects, so I put the two together and made these sweet little paper ladybugs with my daughter over the holidays.

TOOLS & MATERIALS (FOR ONE LADYBUG):

DIRECTIONS:

To make the body, use one sheet of card stock and punch out 1 large circle, one medium circle, and two small ones for the antennas.  Cut two thin stripes of paper. Glue the head to the body and glue the antennas next.  Below is a picture of the back of the ladybug showing you where to glue them.

Punch out a large circle in another colour.  Cut it in half and glue it to the body in opposing angles to create the wings.

Punch out 10 small circles in a third colour and glue them to the wings.

Finally, use embellishment glue, like this Elmer's kind, to glue the googly eyes on the head.

Each ladybug takes about 5 minutes to make.  We made several of them because it was just too much fun mixing colours to create these adorable little creatures!

I also think they would make cute decorations for a little girl's birthday party.

Thanks all for taking a look.  Have yourself an amazing day!
