HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN WINTER COLOURING PAGES

December 28, 2015

Welcome back from Christmas, friends! I hope you had a wonderful time spent with family. Even though my little one and hubby are still off, I've been anxious to get back on here. Well, I hope you find this post a good one!

Keeping kids busy during the holidays is every parent's number one priority.  One thing that definitely helps pass the time is colouring! Below I'll show you how to make your own colouring pages using Microsoft Word clip art for FREE! The steps are fairly easy, or if you wish, you can simply download my images at the bottom of this post.  Then once you're done, you need plain paper and a printer and you're good to go!

1.  Open Word and start a fresh document.

2.  Click Insert and find clip art.  In the search bar, type anything you want like "winter" or "snowman".

3.  Click on one or several images (gif files are the best to use), and place them where you want them to go on the page by right clicking on the image and selecting Wrap Text - In Front of Text.  You can also resize the images here.

4.  For each image, right click and go to Format Picture.  Select Picture Colour.  Make the Colour Saturation 0%.  Then click on Colour Presets and choose the image with the outline.

What I like about them is that unlike books, they don't take up any storage.  It's easy to end up with a pile of colouring books, and this is a happy solution.

I hope you all enjoy these last few days of 2015.  Happy New Year!
