This December we have seen a lot of rain where I am and very little sun. From a blogger's perspective, that's not a very good thing. The sunlight is important to take decent project photos. Although I can't complain too much. We have also been experiencing higher than normal temperatures all month long. So far we can expect rain again for Christmas. Imagine if all that rain were really snow...!
So that being said, and the fact that there's still a few gifts to wrap, stockings to stuff, and cookies to bake, I'm calling it done for craft projects until after Christmas. I'm sure glad I took the time in November when the weather cooperated a little bit more to cross some projects off my list. This post recaps those projects in case there is one or two that you missed.
One of my earliest projects was these snowy tree globes. It didn't take much to make them - a little gold paint, some bottle brush trees, and white pom poms - but I LOVE them. I've wrapped two to give away, and next year I plan to make a few more. They are easy, adorable presents, and in my mind elegant too!

If you're looking for a fun craft to do with kids, consider these paper ball ornaments. They are fun, easy, and you can make several in an hour. I hung mine up on this coat rack, and I love looking at them every time I walk through my back door.
FUN AND FESTIVE PAPER BALL ORNAMENTS
Last night I went to my first holiday gathering, so I was happy to have this jar of cookies ready on the go. You might be more interested in my free chalkboard tags however. They also look pretty good on gifts!

I like to change up my art for the holidays. I offered this 5x7 inch tree-shaped print as a free printable!

You do anything for your kids, and I had a blast one afternoon making this festive advent calendar for my 2-year-old daughter. I added stickers to the bags, and later filled them up with candy canes, chocolates and toys.

Shortly after completing that project, I tried my hands at some shimmery ball ornaments. This is also a fun project to do with kids. All it takes is some ornament flakes and glue, and you've got yourself some pretty ornaments that shine!

This next project made the list because of their pine scent. I show you in this post how to make votive candles from scratch!

Finally, I started my gift wrapping with some pretty Kraft paper and handmade glitter tags. Beautifully wrapped gifts don't have to cost you a fortune!
