MAY PAPER CRAFT CHALLENGE DAY 3: A GIFT TAG FOR MOM
Mother's Day is quickly approaching. After wrapping that perfect gift for mom, don't forget the gift tag! Use your scraps to make one just like these, by layering paper upon paper. Remember that tools are always optional, but I've linked to everything I used in this post below.
TOOLS & MATERIALS:
Card stock (solids and patterns)
Doily lace edger punch (similar product)
Stickers or letters
Heart punches (optional)
First, trim card stock to 3 1/2" by 2". This will be the size of your tag. Then use the punch board to cut the diagonals at "H".
Trim the bottom edge with the doily punch.
In a different colour card stock, cut a hole reinforcer and tape it over the hole that you'll need to first make with the 1/4" hole punch.
Use the same colour to add a little dimension to your gift tag. Round the corners with the 3-way corner rounder at 4 mm (as shown on the top of the product). Tape it to the centre of the tag with the crafter's tape.
Finally, add stickers, letters, or other embellishments to your gift tag. You can pick these up at dollar stores or craft stores.
Total project time: about 10 minutes for one gift tag.
