MAY PAPER CRAFT CHALLENGE DAY 13: FUN CHERRIES
How adorable are these 3D paper cherries that make up Day 13 of the May Paper Craft Challenge?!
And if you thought cherries were only red, think again! I loved mixing pinks and patterns to create them. Here's what you need to make them too.
TOOLS & MATERIALS:
Card stock, including green
For one, use the 1 1/2" circle punch to make six shapes. Score each one down the middle and fold in half.
Tape three together, making two 3D sets.
Cut a paper straw down to two 2 1/2" pieces.
Next make the "leaves" with the 2" circle punch. Cut the shape first, then insert it back into the punch and make two ellipses. Score the ellipses down the centre and fold slightly.
Add a dab of hot glue to one end of the two straws. Attach the cherries to them.
Drop a little hot glue between the other end of the straws. Press them together and hold firmly. Then, glue the leaves on top. They will further hold the straws in place.
Total project time: about 45 minutes for four cherries.
