MAY PAPER CRAFT CHALLENGE DAY 12: WASHI TAPE NOTEBOOKS
Happy Tuesday, friends! It's Day 12 of the May Paper Craft Challenge, and today we're crafting up these sweet little washi tape notebooks.
I used the We R Memory Keepers magnetic staple board to bind these little guys. It's a handy tool to have, as I've used it to make many small pocketbooks in the past. They are great for jotting down craft notes, which is what I usually use them for. These unicorn ones make it especially fun for kids!
TOOLS & MATERIALS:
DIRECTIONS (PER NOTEBOOK):
Trim the card stock to 7" x 3".
Randomly apply strips of washi tape.
Turn the paper over and cut off the overhanging tape.
Score the paper right down the middle.
Then grab a few sheets of printer paper at 20 lb. Keep them stacked and trim down to about 6 3/4" x 2 3/4". Repeat on the same sheets. Gather the two stacks and fold them in half.
Insert the printer paper into the cover and set them with the cover side up onto the staple board. After placing the magnet, make sure that no pages have shifted by turning it over and checking. You can adjust it if you have to. Select the medium stapler and add one staple to the fold, a few millimetres from the edge. Then flip the notebook around and add another staple to make two.
And the back of the notebooks have a little colour too!
Total project time: about 20 minutes for three notebooks.
