MAY PAPER CRAFT CHALLENGE DAY 11: RAINBOW FLOWERS
Happy Friday, friends, and happy long weekend too! For DAY 11 of the May Paper Craft Challenge, make along with me these pretty paper flowers. I love this project because of all the gorgeous colours. They brighten my day so much, and I know they will yours too.
TOOLS & MATERIALS:
Card stock (in 10 different colours)
Black glitter card stock
For each flower that you make, punch a heart shape in each of the ten colours that you chose. Score the hearts down the middle and fold in half. For five flowers, you'll need 50 hearts.
Apply hot glue along the folded part of the flower "petal". Secure inside another as shown, overlapping by just a few millimetres. Keep this motion going until the entire flower is complete.
Use the circle punch to make the flower's centre. I chose a black glitter paper (but regular black card stock will work too).
Paint the dowels green. Give them each two coats. I used Apple Barrel's "Parakeet". I couldn't find the link online for this colour, but here are a bunch of similar greens.
Then apply a strip of hot glue to one end of the dowels. Attach it to back of a flower in the centre.
Total project time: about 1 hour for a five-piece bouquet.
