LAST MINUTE HOLIDAY GIFT WRAPPING IDEAS
It's a wrap! I'm happy to announce that I've finished the last bits of my Christmas wrapping today, and that may have been some sort of record!
If you still have some to go, or haven't yet started, here are some creative ideas to get you going! I always, always include a handmade tag. They are my favourite piece to any gift! Envelopes too should never be ignored. Even try making them for gift cards too! Plus, a really good topper can be an instant show stopper, so why not go the extra mile to be crafty in your wrapping too?!
Pick up some holiday paper pads (available at craft stores!) to cut and paste words and phrases, and pair with equally festive paper for the perfect match!
A pair of decorated mittens (those fancy patterns are washi tape!) will look darling draped over the handles of a gift bag!
Little stockings decorated with letters or shapes (like snowflakes cut out with craft punches!) will make an adorable addition to a well wrapped present!
Glitter me this! The key is double-sided tape to hold the fine glitter on these glitzy-looking gift tags!
Ho Ho Ho! The buttons on these Santa suit tags are rhinestones! A very doable dollar store find.
Line plain envelopes with festive holiday paper. If you can't find the paper you like, try gift wrap!
Like the tags up above, the flaps of these envelopes got the bling with fine glitter! Same method, different idea.
Slip gift cards inside something paper DIY, then adorn with little gold bells for the finish!
Washi tape adds instant pattern and fun to the flaps of white envelopes and it's easy to do!
It's a holly, jolly greeting if you can find the right paper to fit the look of your handmade card!
Staple one end of accordion-folded paper to make a Christmas tree! The decorate it with round "ornaments" and a star.
Add a red velvet bow to the top of a present, and booties for Santa at the ends!
Chunky yarn tassels soften the look of any gift, and can be used again as ornaments on a tree!
Keep tying tinsel into knots until you achieve that full, round look, then attach to a present with hot glue!
Take coloured baubles (or paint your own!) and add words to create a topper that doubles as a token that they can keep forever.
Have yourself a merry and jolly, good ol' wrapping time, friends! I hope you've been inspired today.
