PUNCH IT OUT: FLOWER CUPCAKE TOPPERS FOR SPRING
This post is made possible yet again with craft punches (remember those tools that we all used before the Cricut or Silhouette became more popular?) Well as it turns out, I still use mine with every opportunity possible.
Today's project uses two craft punches, one being the scalloped heart punch by Fiskars. Who knew it would make such a pretty flower? Me! In fact, heart punches of all shapes and sizes can do just that! Take a look at two previous flower projects using a heart punch HERE and HERE.
To make these pretty toppers for Spring, gather the following items.
TOOLS & MATERIALS:
Glitter paper (not too thick)
DIRECTIONS (FOR ONE TOPPER):
1. Punch out five heart shapes, then use the circle punch to create the base from white card stock to attach the hearts to, and the middle of the flower in yellow glitter paper.
2. Lay a couple of pieces of double-sided tape to the base and arrange the hearts with their points inward to create the shape of the flower. Tape the centre piece on top. Then hot glue the flower to a lollipop stick.
Total project time: about 30 minutes for six cupcake toppers.
