PAPER PUNCHED CHRISTMAS TREE ART

My 5-year-old daughter has been learning how to create objects using the same shape. Today's project demonstrates that technique. You know my love for paper punches goes deep, and today's star of the project is my 1" circle punch. With it I created two very festive and colourful Christmas tree art prints in pretty glitter papers that I'm intending to hang as a pair (because when comes to the holidays, everything must have glitter!) Although my colour choices are nontraditional, this project can be created with any colour palette or pattern or texture that you like!

I started with two 8" x 8" frames, but you may use any size frame for your project. To make this tree art to my scale, gathering the following items:

TOOLS & MATERIALS:

  • One sheet of 12" x 12" glitter card stock (for the background)

  • Paper trimmer

  • Card stock paper in complimenting colours and/or patterns (minimum 3)

  • 1" circle punch (similar)

  • Ruler and marker

  • Double-sided tape

  • 1" star punch (similiar)
