SAY IT WITH BLUE: WASHI TAPE FLAG GARLAND GIFT WRAP
If there's one colour that I associate with summer, it's definitely blue. Blue makes me happy in so many ways. It's uplifting, it's vibrant, and it's the colour of my favourite thing at this time of year: the lake. For this gift wrapping idea, I took every blue washi tape that I own, some glitter paper, and this craft punch, and honestly just went to town.
To make a 2-point flag with washi tape, simply stick pieces of washi side-by-side on a sheet of card stock paper, and then punch out the shape with the craft punch. You can mix and match all the patterns for different looks. Gather a bunch of flags to create the garland.
Punch two holes at the top of each flag, and string the jute (or baker's twine or string).
Then attach the garland to a wrapped package by tying a double knot on the back side. That's it!
What's your favourite summertime colour? If blue isn't yours, you can still do this project with the colour of your choice!
