DIY CUSTOM NOTEBOOKS WITH POCKETS
In this blog, I've shown you how to make pocket-size notebooks as well handy pocket folders for all the loose things. Today, I'm combining the two to create larger size notebooks that also have pockets!
The key tool in creating these lovelies is my We R Memory Keepers Staple Board. It's so fantastic because it allows you to line up and lock where you want the staples to go. It's nothing like your traditional stapler, and it makes these projects possible, so I love it!
TOOLS & MATERIALS:
12" x 12" scrapbook paper (medium weight to card stock)
5 - 7 sheets of white printer paper
Embellishments: stickers, die-cut shapes, scrapbook paper, rhinestones
DIRECTIONS (FOR ONE NOTEBOOK):
1. Slice 3/4" off one side of the 12" x 12" paper. Insert the shorter side into the trim and score board and score it at 5 5/8". Turn it 90 degrees and score it at 3".
2..Fold the paper where you scored it. Use the scissors to cut on the pocket fold, then close the paper and cut a diagonal off the bottom.
3. Tape up the bottom flaps to create the pockets by adding double-sided tape to the two sides.
4. Gather up the printer paper and fold them together in half. Place them inside the notebook, and turn everything over. Line up the fold on the staple line on the large stapler. Place the magnet on top to hold everything in place, then staple your notebook. Do this for both ends.
Once the notebook is assembled, decorate the cover with whatever you want!
Total project time: about 15 minutes.
