DIY POM POM NECKLACE

I am on a roll with the pom pom makers (see a couple of recent projects HERE and HERE).

I created the prettiest necklace in my favourite shades of blue, for a cute Spring and summer accessory (which you had a sneak peek last week on Instagram!)

To make an exact replica, you'll need:

TOOLS & MATERIALS:

  • Yarn (I used Loops & Threads Colourwheel in Cream, Bright Mint, & Deep Turquoise, all found at Michaels)

  • 1 5/8" pom pom maker

  • Scissors

  • 24" gold plated chain by Bead Gallery (at Michaels as well)

DIRECTIONS:

Follow the instructions on the pom pom maker. Make 5 pom poms. You can mix up the colours any way you wish, but I made two in cream and bright mint, and one in the turquoise. Trim them with the scissors to create perfect rounds, if necessary. Then, take the lobster claw end and feed the gold chain through the pom poms, just underneath the knotted piece of yarn on each one (shown below). Do this part carefully to not pull any of the threads out.

Once that's done, your necklace is ready to wear!
