CUSTOM "V" MARQUEE SIGN
When Michaels has a clearance sale, I'm there!

Michaels is actually my weekly ritual, and while I always swooned over the Heidi Swapp products, it wasn't until a few weeks ago that I came home with my first purchase: the letter "V" marquee sign.

It was under $10, and comes in white with clear plastic bulbs for the lights. But I spent a few extra dollars for pink bulbs and the wrapping paper is also from there.

I like how it brings a little extra light and sparkle to my daughter's room. To replicate this project, you will need a few things:
TOOLS & MATERIALS:
Heidi Swapp Marquee sign in your choice of letter or shape
Wrapping paper in your favourite pattern
Double-sided tape
Scissors

DIRECTIONS:
The sign comes with a removable paper "V" and I used that to attach to the back side of the wrapping paper with double-sided tape. Then, I cut out the "V" shape with scissors and inserted it back into the sign. I popped each light hole carefully with a light from the back side as I inserted it through. I found it easier to work one light at a time, attaching a bulb to it as I worked along.

The project took a total of 15 minutes. For now, it's on my daughter's dresser until I can decide if I should hang it on the wall or not.

Oh, and by the way, "V" is for her name: Victoria. (Insert mama's giant smile right here).
Thanks all for taking a look at today's simple DIY. I hope you enjoyed it. Neither Heidi Swapp nor Michaels paid me to boost their products today. I share because I care and I enjoyed this project very much. If you'd like to learn more about her products though, click HERE for her website.
Have a beautiful day :)
