I don't normally do much crafting for St. Patrick's Day, but the reality is, it's a holiday loved and celebrated by many people. And what's a holiday without crafts? In my books, there's no such thing.

I have yet to teach my two-year-old about St. Patrick's Day, but a great way to teach and get children involved in the celebration is by making these fun paper mosaic shamrocks! (This is also a great classroom project, and can be prepared in advance).

To begin this project, you'll need my downloadable shamrock image. Once saved to your computer, print it on a green card stock (it prints two shamrocks per page).

Cut the shamrocks out.

The next thing I did was pull out all my scrapbook paper pads and gathered all the papers that were green. Of course, if you don't have any paper pads, you can buy individual sheets at Michaels of varying patterns, or use different shades of green construction paper.

Then I cut up little squares, about 1/2 inch in size.

With a glue stick, I randomly glued the squares to the shamrocks.

That's it!

Do you celebrate and craft for St. Patrick's Day? Have a great day!
