TISSUE PAPER PUMPKIN FAVOURS
This weekend, Canadians are celebrating Thanksgiving, and it will be the first Thanksgiving dinner that my husband and I are hosting for my family. Usually the celebration is held at my mom's house, but unfortunate circumstances have led her to not be able to this year. She has asked us to take over, and it gives me the pleasure and opportunity to add some personal touches, like this crafty pumpkin favour for every person at the table.

TOOLS & MATERIALS:
Orange tissue paper
A round object about 9" in diametre (I used a pot lid)
Pencil
Scissors
Variety of candies
Green washi tape
Kraft paper
Marker
White glue
DIRECTIONS:
Separate an equal amount of candies. I am having 11 people, including myself, at this dinner! Fold 11 sheets of issue paper in half (of a 20 x 26" sheet), then trace the lid on each one. The fold adds thickness to the pumpkins, and reduces the risk of tears. Cut out the circles.
Place candies in the centre of a circle, and transfer to the palm of your hand. Gather up all the edges, and pinch and twist the top. Cut a piece of washi tape and wrap it around the pumpkin's "stem".
Cut the shape of a leaf on Kraft paper. Write out the person's name, and glue it to the pumpkin near the stem.
Each pumpkin takes about 5 - 7 minutes to make.

They are just so small and cute!
I opened up a dummy pumpkin to show you how all the goodies look when they pour out:

I bought caramels, Indian corn, pumpkin chewies and chocolate, all from the bulk store. I could fit about 12 treats into each one.
Thanks all for taking a look. Have an amazing day!
